Welcome to South Africa’s premier photographic gallery. Heidi Erdmann opened thePHOTOGRAPHERSgalleryza in 2001 to create a platform for new innovations in contemporary South African photography.
This gallery hosts acclaimed exhibitions by both local and international talents. We have hosted solo exhibitions for international artists, Nicola Vinci, Laurina Paperina, Joke van Katwijk and most recently, Erik Chevalier. Our stable of gallery artists are regularly included in international exhibitions.
The gallery has participated in Photo San Francisco 2005, Photo LA 2006, Artseasons 2007, Joburg Art Fair 2008 & Joburg Art Fair 2009. We will participate in Photo LA in 2011.
thePHOTOGRAPHERSgalleryZA is a niche gallery, focusing on mid career artists. We promote and sell limited edition prints. The gallery handles rare and first edition photographic books on request.
